DIVE YAP AND BECOME A YAPMASTER!

DIVE WITH MANTAS!
YAP'S AMAZING MANTAS!

SOLD OUT!

You have heard about the famous manta rays of Yap ever since you first started diving. But why go all that way for mantas? Because the mantas are just the beginning. We're talking about a FANTASTIC Micronesian destination here, with clear water, reefs, walls, tons of macro, lots of fish, a SHARK FEED dive, the famous mating mandarinfish and oh yeah, did I mention tons of friendly mantas?

Sure, you can go to the Revillagigedos in Mexico for mantas and it's closer. But it's very expensive and mantas are about the only thing you will see up close. For about the same price (yes, even including the airfare) you can go to the South Pacific with white sand beaches, stone money, fascinating island cultures and great diving. And see MORE than "just" mantas.

THE PRICE CAN'T BE BEAT
This is a TEN day trip (9 days of diving) with 3 dives per day, breakfast and dinner every day, lodging for 10 nights for one package price of $2,500.00 USD. (Non-diver price $1,575.00 sharing a double with a diver. This includes lodging and breakfast/dinner.) Prices are per person, double occupancy. Night dives are extra.

Dates are October 8-18, 2008. Why October? It's the best month for diving in Yap in terms of water/weather and mantas. They come to the cleaning stations in shallow water in Sept/Oct and this is the time of year when the wind is least, so you can hit all the dives sites on all sides of the island.

We are staying with the Manta Ray Bay Hotel, one of the best diver-oriented hotel/diveshops on the planet. Run by legendary Yap-master Bill Acker, this is a fantastic hotel with wonderful accomodations, modern rooms, great food and they REALLY cater to the needs of photographers and divers.

My friend Mike Veitch (who I met in Fiji a few years ago) is now the photo pro at Manta Ray Bay Hotel and he has allowed me to use a bunch of his images here, so check it out!!

You may also want to watch this interesting manta video on ocean.com. I had nothing to do with this video, but it's pretty cool!!
